Repeats this and how much he wants to play for a team that shows they wanted him.
How god damn refreshing to hear these things.

I've never heard the word 'excited' used more times than in this presser

I believe Darryl Sutter is also excited, although it's yet to be confirmed.

I wasn't prepared for how good with the media he seems. He was hidden in Florida. He has a chance to be an absolute league leading Canadian face here. This is extremely exciting.

Paging the body language experts that indicated Jon was lying the last time he spoke to the media about signing long term.
What is his body language saying now?

No comment on the rest, but he's obviously getting a bit frustrated about the continued dinner questions (in a funny way not an angry way lol)

This has far exceeded my high school French... I got "Calgary", "Montreal", and "rebuild".

He's very confident but not in an arrogant way. That question from Ryan Pike about how he felt about getting the biggest contract in Flames history and he said something to the effect of his career trajectory has just been up and up and he expects that to continue

Confident without being cocky or abrasive, and candid/ fun interview without being crass and still carrying the company line.

I wonder if this is our Captain speaking here. Was weird going a whole season without one, and I can't think of someone better suited whos locked up long term.
