I walked out of the theatre after seeing a late viewing of The Black Phone here in BC the night of the chucky trade. Walked out to an exploded WhatsApp group chat with all my buddies from Toronto I stayed in a hockey pool with. All I saw was ‘Tkachuk trades’ and nothing really about what the return was. When I opened the phone and saw the return my jaw dropped lol! Enjoy Bullet Train too, that movie looks mint and I can’t wait to see it!

Barzal's last negotiations with the Islanders... didn't go very nicely... His QO is massive his last year is 10 Million Salary Base...and maybe he wants to leave... Calgary has a very interesting piece + could gamble huge and move a golden ticket...

You mean 10M qualifying offer next summer?

Yeah I'd be wary. He's a $9M player to me presently, just like where I thought Tkachuk was.

Maybe that's what Tre wants to use his Mony/Looch money on.

Again, shooting in the dark. Love the player, but that price tag does take some of the shine off.

Could absolutely see now why the Isles might be more enamored with Kadri who put up better offense last year at 7-8 million for a few seasons.

I don't think it has anything to do with the Wranglers or a jersey of any sort, but that's mostly a guess ... those are the types of things that get released at a scheduled time, and I don't think Leslie would tease anything like that

Meanwhile no one knew Huberdeau was even in the realm of trade pieces on that Friday night up until the minute before that trade came out.
