He’s going to meet a child that will turn him into a reluctant father figure. That child is going to get kidnapped multiple times, forcing Andor to plan and execute several rescue missions.

i could be wrong, but i thought i read somewhere that it's 5 years before rogue 1
Yeah, about halfway between the Obi-Wan series and A New Hope (apparently with some flashback to Andor's younger days). I wonder if we'll see a 14 year-old Princess Leia in this?

From my understanding this series is going to spread out over 5 years, and focus on the Empire tightening its grip on the Galaxy.
I expect we'll see the split happen between Saw and the rest of the Rebels, we saw the effect in Rogue one and in Rebels, as Saw is pretty much a violent terrorist.
I'm excited about a spy based series in the Star Wars Galaxy and the secret war between Rebel Intelligence and the ISB. I think the female officer is wearing the uniform of ISB.
I do expect we'll get a glimpse of Palpatine as we do see the Imperial Senate. Will we see Vader? Possibly briefly but more as a long distance Commander. I think they need to keep the Vader and Inquisitors away from this series.
I'd love to see Andor's field counterpart from the Imperial Side of this thing as well, and have that as a sudden reveal later in the series of that spy being a traitor to the Rebels.
I'd also like to see Andor make decisions or mistakes that lead to Rebel deaths.
Oh and the Rebels can't have any major military victories as the Rebel attack in Rogue one was the first real military victory for the rebels.
And yes to Mon being all secretive in the Senate.

Looks good. I hope we get to see more of the anti-hero Andor. Like at the beginning of Rogue One when he offs that guy who might leak valuable information.
I want to see the guys who had to get blood on their hands to make the Rebellion possible.

Disney I dare you...double dare you...not to have Vader show up and toss/choke/chop Rebel fodder for audience cheers and tweets. if they can resist the urge while giving us a great gritty spy series, I'll be happy. but let's be realistic, I think they'd rather get the tweets.

I love the Jedi and space wizard stuff as much as anyone, but I also love the non-Jedi storylines. The Obi Wan series was obviously different, but I hope they resist the urge to incorporate it into this series.
A big part of what ruined the new movies (besides the plot itself) was the uber force users. Like wtf? How bout some subtlety Disney.

Obi-Wan series took this too far as well. when you have characters casually tossing giant boulders at each other or pulling huge spaceships apart with their minds, it creates a problem for any future (or even past) content where you wonder why they don't just throw more giant boulders at their problems instead of being forced to use their wits.

I agree to an extent, but you have one of the top 3 most powerful Jedi ever and Darth Freaking Vader facing off. You should see some powerful and unprecedented force fighting going on. I'll forgive them for the Obi Wan series, but I draw the line at the sequels.
For the record the top-3 Jedi of all time are Luke, Yoda and ObiWan. HM to Mace Windu.
