I'm just starting to follow F1, but isn't Stroll only there because of his father? Unless his Dad runs out of money I don't think he's going anywhere.

Ideally, I’m guessing Alpine would love one year of development for Piastri on a “farm team” so I think there may not be an immediate announcement about Piastri taking over the spot. The challenge is trying to find someone to drive with Alpine knowing it is a one year and done situation.

A lot of AMs recent hires also won't have a lot of their effect on the design and team until next season either. So the car should be a lot better by the time Alonso gets a race in.
AM made some pretty large hires this previous offseason in their technical department. Those haven't even begun to pay their dividens yet.

Compared to who? I don’t even think he’s a bottom 5 driver on the grid.
I honestly can’t name four worse drivers than him on the grid this year. Latifi is worse. There could be an argument made for Tsunoda but he’s shown some real flashes and has a solid pedigree before coming to F1.

Danny Ric? He's barely reaped the benefit of his superior car this year. In fact he's so underperformed they're on red alert for replacing him.
Tsunoda for sure. One could argue Gasly as well.

Danny Ricciardo has eight wins and 32 podiums. He isn’t very good though in the McLaren. It might be best for both sides for him to move on. It’s hard for me to say that he’s a worse driver than Stroll but it’s not working out as it stands.
I actually think Gasly is a heck of a driver but something is really wrong with the Alpha Tauri car this year.

Congrats to Btimbit this week taking sole top spot with 4 slotted and 8/10 Top 10. TimSJ and FurnaceFace tied for 2nd with 3 slots and 9/10.
There was a boatload of us that got 9/10 correct. Swap Ricciardo and Ocon and I think 5 of us had 10/10.
Woob continues in top spot, but TimSJ and FF have closed the gap. It's only 13 pts for FF to Woob and TimSJ is 7 back of FF.
