I had my back yard done this year finally. Rock and mulch with shrubs that hopefully do well. I will keep the front lawn because it’s fun to mow, not that big and looks nice when I’m done. It’s totally a vanity thing, guilty as charged.

Or maybe some people are aware of how much time they actually spend looking after their property when they could be doing something else. I didn’t mind doing it and had one of the nicest yards on my street but when I broke it all down I was spending 4 hours a week looking after mostly a lawn. Plus in my area it’s all clay with a bit of topsoil which can make it hard to look after a lawn even.

I chimed in because of another poster bringing up the very good point about why the guy hadn't been banned by now. It's a good point, I'd say.
