				 Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2022 - Round 9

Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!
As per usual ...

1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to rookie camp range
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

I went with Kuznetsov. I feel like we’re somewhat sleeping on this guy, I’m hoping for a big year in…uh…Calgary.

After Poirier, I’m going Schwindt and then Beck.
Edit: Whoops, I forgot Kuznetsov. Schwindt, Kuznetsov, Beck.

Nikolaev. He's coming along better than I anticipated solid 1st year in NA.

I've voted for Phillips for the last 3 or 4 rounds. Not sure why, he's either hit or miss. I still have faith in the little fella.

Geez, isn't calling Mackey a loser a little harsh?
Poirier now. Had a great year overall, with a big improvment on his defensive game. Had a strong playoffs as well. Has the elite skill you want to see, just has to figure out how to play systematic defense. If Kylington can figure it out, he can too.

Poirier this go around. Still have a decent few prospects left on the list. Kuznetsov, Schwindt, Phillips are probably my next three votes. Not sure on what order, though.

Voted Jack Beck - was the only Flame prospect invited to the ‘22-23 World Junior Championship team summer camp.

I think Schwindt will play NHL games this year and isnt far from being on the big club full time.

This will be a very interesting year for him coming up. Could be an amazing pick.

The temptation to prematurely vote for Cameron based on surname is a real thing.

Looking at the rest of the list, I think he is the most likely to be an NHLer, and I think he is next for me

Still going with Kuznetsov. Big stay at home defender that is sorely needed in our lineup and not a plethora of in the system.

He's 24 and tiny. He's also waiver exempt. It's now or never and his upside isn't that high. Would be awesome if he stepped in and blew the doors off at camp and forced his way into the top six. It's on him, but the clock is running out. Understandable to see him drop.
