I would think Edmonton might be a pretty comfortable place for someone who wants to lounge in sweat pants and pick his nose all day. He'd be judged harshly for that anywhere else.

Why didn’t they just cut bait, no one is trading for him at a $3MM a season even for one year, and the ‘Second Coming of Coaching’ couldn’t make anything out of him. They are going to end up having to move Yamamoto now who is a far superior player.

Even with Smith and Klefbom on LTIR they have $2.4 mil to sign mcleod and Yamamoto. Someone has to go and with both players that’s 22 players
Send Broberg down only saves them 863k and they are only going with 6 d
Skinner is 100% their back up
Koekkoek is a regular in the line up
If nurse ceci Barrie or Bouchard get hurt they aren’t a playoff team. Even short term injuries with 1 of these guys out a few weeks at a time they aren’t a playoff team
They probably need to dump Foegele still to sign Yamamoto and McLeod

With Kane puljujarvi is going to get buried down the lines
There is no upside after this season unless they have injuries
But the need d very badly. Their goalies are questionable too. Campbell might need to play 60 if skinner doesn’t play well

I imagine he will be traded in the next week or so as any interested teams may have been waiting to see what he got awarded. I don't think they will get a lot for him but I wouldn't be shocked if he fetches at least a 3rd round pick.

It will be interesting to see how they plan on doing this. They have 10 forwards, 7 dmen, 2 goalies signed. Currently sitting 2.9M over. So even with the shady Mike Smith LTIR and Klefbolm LTIR. They got 3.4M to sign Yamamoto and Macleod. They probably need to sign a 13th forward unless they plan on dressing 7D each game.
Not a whole lot of wiggle room to deal with injuries where you can't put the player on LTIR. Something has to give as Yamamoto will get at least 3M.

At $3MM is don’t see him getting a 3rd. Likely a 4th or 5th at bed.
