Also JP2 could have done without the whole "gymnastic bar routine that leads to the raptor getting kicked in the head" thing. Otherwise a decent movie.

Utterly terrible. Looked at the time hoping it was almost over and barely 50 minutes in.

Am I the only one that doesn’t hate JP3 and considers it much better than any of the JW films? The writing is cheesy and it needed another 45 minutes of run time but still provides a well paced fun dinosaur adventure game with a good performance from Sam Neil and some iconic moments like the bird cage and cell phone.

JP3 didn't work for me. I have found memories watching it in the cinema when it came out but upon re-watch I noticed alot of flaws. I thought Spinosaurus at times looked very robotic, and the fight with the T-Rex lasts like 30 seconds, the CGI hasn't aged well at all, and Tea Leoni's character is always running or yelling. There are a few redeeming qualities for me like Sam Neil returning and the bird cage was cool but overall I thought it was a miss. With the Jurassic World trilogy they are all a mixed bag but I can have fun with them if I shut my brain off.

JP3 is better than any JW movie solely on the strength of this scene

I never understood the hate for the “plane raptor” in JP3. Dudes having a dream and is terrified of raptors.

Love and Thunder was awful. Beyond awful. So awful I'm not sure if it deserves a 2000 word breakdown of its awfulness or if its better left unsaid because it was unspeakably bad.

Easily the worst Marvel movie ever made and Nadal Fan was right, Morbius was way better.

They have turned Thor into an idiotic mimbo, taking his one liners from previous movies and turning it into his whole character. They ruined Gor, making it two classic Thor villains they've butchered now, along with Malekith.

The entire movie felt like one of those bad 00s parody movies that they don't make anymore because they were such garbage. The script was trash, every joke fell flat, almost every scene was cringe worthy. They've made a mockery out of Thor, his villains, supporting characters. Chris Hemsworth deserves every Razzie for worst actor but it wasn't entirely his fault, that script was so bad he didn't have much to work with. That awkward smiling delivery he gives line after line after line was painful to watch.

The movie had no discernible plot. Gor got like 5 minutes of screentime, they ruined his character and motivation. He had no actual evil plan except one throwaway line about some stupid previously unmentioned magical mcguffin.

The tone would shift from scene to scene, even line to line, occasionally showing glimpses of a real movie when we saw Gor but the glimpses were all too brief and we'd soon return to the shockingly bad awkward comedy.

For the sake of spoilers I won't say much abut Jane except they ruined everything to do with her character and her struggles to the point it was borderline offensive.

A total piece of trash. Whatever magic Kevin Feige was able to conjure during the first 3 phases has vanished without a trace. This is the kind of trash you can't come back from when everything is part of a shared universe. At least DC has the chance to continually wipe the slate clean when they put out trash movies.

Thor was all over the place in tone, pace, dialogue and played by no rules whatsoever. It was a mockery of the MCU in a lot of ways. Even if it was sold as a "scary movie" to the MCU films it would still have mostly fallen flat as it just wasn't a very fun or funny ride to begin with.

They need to go back to babysitting Taika. He had too much freedom with this one and made a mess.

I'm not going to place this blame on Taika but I've felt this way about every MCU movie post Endgame (No Way Home included).

Had a good weekend of movies. I enjoyed The Northman. If you were expecting a typical Vikings show I can see why some would be disappointed as this is more of a revenge story that happens to take place in that Vikings timeline and it's got some strange visions and dream sequences that some people either love or hate.

I finally got around to watching Last Night in Soho which is a movie I have been meaning to get around to for a while. I quite enjoyed that as well. The 60's sets were well done and the story was pretty interesting except maybe for the ending which was a little overly predictable. A little more musical than I was expecting but it's kind of a film where anything goes so it managed to work. As with the Northmen this movie was also visually stunning as they portrayed a vibrant London in the 60's.

Lastly Red Rocket. Not sure what to say about this one. It's good but there are some cringey scenes due to the subject matter. This movie works because the main actor (Simon Rex) really nails the main character. His character is utterly repulsive yet you manage to tolerate him for over two hours. Probably the most interesting of the three movies because it's a story that has probably played out for a lot of people brought up in poor areas of the USA and a little sad really.

I watched The Gray Man last night. I was hoping for a Bourne/John Wick type movie but we ended up with Evans and Gosling seeming to play some version of a glib Ryan Reynolds character. Out of place comedy. The dialogue was pretty cringy and the acting, outside of the big 3/4 stars, made it feel like a B movie.

The action was good but I don't know how this is the most expensive Netflix movie ever made. How did they spend $200 million on this?

Watched Anything, Everything, All at Once the other day

Highly recommend. I absolutely loved it. Michelle Yeoh kills it in the role, and the whole premise is ridiculous, awesome, funny, dramatic, and thoughtful all at once.

Yeah, we watched it and, while its not terrible, its nothing new or interesting really. It was okay.

And I hate 'Joh Wick' comparisons too. That movie is so amazingly good for a variety of reasons, you're not going to touch it.
