I'm a big fan of Bill Burr, but I'm loving thinking about him bitching about this series after his jabs at the Jays earlier this year during a Red Sox game when they weren't even playing the Jays!

I was curious so I checked. Nothing from today's game yet but two days ago:

Still would love to see Teo and Bo swapped in the order. I think Teo I just about to go off in the second half.

Truly a great weekend!! It had absolutely everything. Rays lose and just like that the Jays are in second in their division. Time to beat up on the Cardinals.

Tapia had as many RBIs as the Sox did this weekend. And he only played 2 games.

That was about as good of a series as you could have hoped for! Scoring four touchdowns against the BoSox will always be a baseball highlight for me.

Well that weekend couldn't have gone any better for the Jays.

Jays sweep Redsox
Astros sweep Mariners
Rays lose 2 of the to the Royals

Would love it if they could get to double digit win streak

Man off days suck. Especially when the team is playing really well. I just want to watch them play all day every day. Didn't they just have like 5 days off for the All-Star break? Do they really need another day off?

It helps them figure out their 5th starter so I am okay with the off day.

I get what you're saying as Vladdy definitely set an insanely high bar last season, but he is still sitting at OPS+ of 137 which is still very good. Crazy to think he is still only 23 (which is the average age of players in AA). Even this current version of very decent Vlad, that I am sure he would say would be hoping for better numbers, is still incredibly good.

Bo is definitely someone who we need to turn it around, he has been pretty ordinary this year.

Teoscar is actually doing pretty typical Teoscar stuff this year, OPS+ 129, and trending in the right direction, .316 BA, 7 HR, .361 OBP over his last 30 games.

If Tapia and Biggio continue to do damage as left handed bats I would say that the Jays offense is kind of set, they just need the starters to do their job and hopefully get another couple pieces in the pen.

Moving Vladdy to the #2 spot was the obvious move that Montoyo refused to do. I'd like to see Bichette even lower down the order but where he is now isn't a detriment like it was when he was hitting 2nd.

Raimel Tapia now has a higher OPS and wRC+ than Santiago Espinal and Bo Bichette.

Yep, you read that right.

Teo, Gurriel and even Chapman have all been mashing for a while now.

It's a deep line up, that's for sure.

Really hope they can go on a tear now.

Wow, Biggio is starting to put together good at bats too.I love the internal competition for spots in the line up.
