Tkachuk was born in 1997. Both he and the Panthers have won the same number of playoff series in his lifetime.

Yeah speaking for his play personally, he's right. Take away one outburst in a nine goal game and his playoff production is bad.

Exactly this. Tkachuk's new contract shows that he is supposed to be one of the major offensive contributors. He has zero points in the last 3 playoff games against the Oilers. In the last two games, he was given over 19min/game in ice time and still couldn't get anything going. He was a negative player for the last 4 games.
Multiple games, out of the 4 the Flames lost were close enough that 1-2 goals from the top guys would've turned the tide.
The Flames didn't win because their top players didn't show up enough, and Tkachuk was a top player.

Maybe, but I think that it's more likely the increased age and experience at play vs. a character issue.
