Have to think Tre would have been fired if he accepted that St Louis offer, especially if the Flames missed the playoffs this year. At least with this deal, you salvage picks and a prospect if the Flames miss the playoffs.

Well, if it was all that was being offered it just is what it is.

…but yeah, if that was the deal then the fact that it got to that point would have been the end of Treliving. What an ugly return that would have been (if that’s what it was).

Smart people knew Tkachuk was gonna cash in on his 104 point season he knows is an anomaly. Honestly everyone is talking like he is such a great guy...he was helping himself as much as anyone and got exactly what he wanted.

Zero chance Tkachuk would have played this season on a one year deal...he could only lose
