Yeah, Calgary is cold in the winter, we get really bitter cold a week or two. But then, we get that Chinook arc and temperature rise up to minus single digit sometime even on the plus side for a week. That to me is pretty awesome, it's like opening presents kind of awesome.

You acclimate. Not sure what else there is to it.

When my brother and sister moved to California, they wore shorts year round for about 2 years. Now they wear sweaters if it's below 20C outside.

Yeah, I used to work for an IT company which has corporate office in Sunnyvale. I remember when I go down there in November, and it was plus 17 C, and I still smoked back then and when I went out for a smoke in my t-shirt. The girl at the reception was shocked and tell me to wear my jacket. I said why? It's balmy outside.

I always wondered by celebs wore parkas in SoCal.

Also SoCal has the best weather of anywhere. Calgary may-august weather year round. That's perfection.

Some parts. The more inland you go, the hotter it gets.

SF gets a ton of fog in winter.

SD has the perfect weather year round.

Their weather forecasts are hilarious though since it changes so infrequently.

Are you guys being serious? Literally millions of people have moved to Florida in the last 20 years. It’s booming. I bet there are more high-net worth (over $20 million) people living in the Miami area than in all of Canada.

Mexico also has nice beaches and good weather

I've seen people shivering in the middle of the day, wearing a parka and toque, 15C outside.

Yet the average income is 29k

And if you are a gay teacher you have to hide your sexuality

And if you are a women you have less rights

I'm sure rich white men who miss the 1960s do love it though

I vacation there myself but let's not pretend it's some utopia

You are thinking strictly by the sea.

I have a place in Palm Springs. Try that one during the summer.

No wonder Tkachuk moved there.

I've been in Kansas for 25 years save one glorious year back in Montana. I have not acclimated. It's 106 F today and I want to die. I wear shorts neary year round here. Always have.

I'd take the winters to avoid spending 3 months existing in Satan's breath.

I will never understand how people want to live in hot climates outside of any health benefits that may result for them personally. It's oppressive.

Soon they will be questioning why Tkachuk can't skate

Canes fans told us Lindholm couldn't shoot, grain of salt as always

I was ask a question about temperature, if I can only pick one, -10c or +35c. I'll take -10 all day every day.
