We have watched him more than any GM or most media members
He is young...skates like a 35 year old, a 35 year old that isn't a great skater. Lucic would win a race.
Start the car, they think he is just below McDavid/Matthews
Also Oilers fans are suddenly his biggest boosters, you can't make this stuff up

You can still fight with a broken hand.

Maybe. Seems like the simplest explanation is that he just broke it in Game 3.

The brilliance of the trade is not just staying in the game with superstar talent but moving the cap crunch to the year where we’re in great shape. We were hooped this year.

The former doesn’t mean the latter. I think the tweet is condensing the events into one step when it was probably more.

Of his NHL career? He hasn't stepped up in the playoffs yet...that's not to say he can't but it's certainly not a strength. Gaudreau has been better and look at his reputation.

I wonder if the whatever offer the Canes had for Tkachuk could be transferred over for Huberdeau.
If it was something like Necas, Teravainen, prospect, and a 1st, that would be pretty dope.

Tkachuk did something unnecessary in every playoff that neutered his effectiveness.
He’s never really figured out how to play at the limit without going over.

I would love if they could some how turn this into a Brayden Point trade.

An extended Huberdeau for Brayden Point +? Would that be a fair deal?

I would have said the Florida trade would never have happened too.
So, you never know.

You're being too realistic. Throw logic out the window. Dare to dream.
This response would have been said by most of us here if someone proposed the return for Tkachuk.
