...........

Some of these guys we've probably watched play for 1-2 decades. Amazes me how any person can think that sort of thing will just go away.

Rick Westhead is doing groundbreaking journalism that first turned the pro hockey world on its head and is now doing it in amateur hockey!

https://www.hockeycanada.ca/en-ca/ne...ment-2022-news

Quote:
“Yesterday evening, Hockey Canada learned of an alleged group sexual assault from 2003 involving members of the 2002-03 National Junior Team after being contacted by Rick Westhead of TSN/CTV National News with disturbing details of the alleged incident. Mr. Westhead informed Hockey Canada he has spoken to multiple witnesses who provided him with explicit descriptions of an assault, following an interview with Conservative MP John Nater who is in possession of the same or similar information.
Quote:
Prior to receiving Mr. Westhead’s email, two weeks ago, Hockey Canada staff heard a rumour about “something bad at the 2003 World Juniors” but were given no details of any sort. We immediately reported this information to Sport Canada. In order to learn more, Hockey Canada hired a third-party investigator to try to find more information. They were unable to learn anything before we received the details mentioned above in an email from Mr. Westhead.

Beyond appalling. There needs to be accountability.

It’s not just the predatory part that gets me. It’s the whole group thing. Like, is it just normal for elite hockey players to whip their dicks out around their teammates and have group sex? Because it’s pretty ####ing far from normal among any guys I know, including guys who have toured in bands.

I went to high school with 2 of the guys on that team. 1 was in my graduating year.

Sickening.

Well, I posted that in the last thread about this kind of behaviour.

Within the context of Hockey it does seem to happen often in groups.

Which I find very strange, but then again I'm not 'an orgy' kind of guy.

The whip your dick out part is pretty common... Like after every practice or game common. Unless you liked going home real sweaty.

Disgusting. We better see heads roll. Not just the rapists, but also the pieces of #### that covered it up.
It’s the cover-up that’s insane. People obviously knew and decided to keep it quiet.

This is going to shock you, but I've heard people used to use actual video cameras that you couldn't even text or check IG on... which is what was allegedly used here.

Could be an actual Video Camera. It says they were doing a fake interview at the beginning of it.

You mean Citizen Kane wasn't filmed on an iPhone?

Imagine thinking you just got away with something like this ... then the 2018 story comes out and you start having trouble sleeping. Now here it is.

Good on them. Storm coming.

Was just thinking that too. He likely had A LOT to do with the whole culture of the "boys being boys" with the little slush fund on the side to keep those pesky sexual assault allegations silenced. I am surprised he has been able to avoid any criticism so far.

Yeah, there's no way Hockey Canada execs haven't known about this for many years. Heads should roll. The whole organization needs to be gutted and started over.

I know at least two former management level employees and none of them are what you would call upstanding citizens. It's all about who you are and who you know.
