What am I missing about this CD that everyone else seems to love? I usually enjoy most of the critic darling/hot indie rock bands, but I just can't see any redeeming qualities in this CD. I've tried listening to it many times, but I can't even find a song that I don't find tolerable enough to listen all the way through. The songs all make me cringe and actually make me a little nauseous.
I find it strange that I am so polar opposite to everyone else (that I usually am in sync with) on this one.

According to iTunes, the artists I have been listening to most often as of late are Dr. Octagon, Big L and Public Enemy.

Oh, the good old Gin Blossoms. I remember one time I was singing (to myself) 3 of their songs at the same time, and didn't even realize it.

Sweet lord. I saw The Constantines and Ladyhawk last night at Hifi. I am now listening to The Constantines for the rest of my life. Amazing live show. Did anybody go?

Bleh, I totally forgot that show was last night! The Constantines were pretty good I take it? I saw them the last time they were in town with The Weakerthans and I meant to go check them out this weekend as well.

The Constantines were freaking amazing. Ladyhawk was pretty great too. There was another band, John Rae & the River, they were okay... nothing compared to the other two.

I like Ladyhawk but I find they get a little boring if I listen to more than a few songs of theirs in a row. Alas, I really wanted to catch The Constantines this time around. Oh well, at least I managed to snag a ticket to go see Interpol - I'm going to get to see them twice in the next three weeks.

I knew interpol was coming, but where are they playing? Also is it sold out?? I just got back from the constantines, ladyhawk show. They put on a great performance. I saw them (the constantines) last time when they were here with the weakerthans. (at liberty lounge I think?) and there is something to be said about small venues. They were just awesome. I wonder why the show was so early tonight (7PM sharp)? Maybe the whole back to back thing eh?
But yah,
INTERPOL should be good but if it is all-ages (most likely) then there are going to be screaming teens. which gets old very fast.
