Ok someone clear this up. Age of consent in that state is 16 and this girl was 17. So is it that they’re filing it as a prostitution charge and that’s a different age bracket?

Someone who has a better understanding of the law needs to clear this up.
From what I understand, Katz being named as a 3rd party defendant means the couple being sued by the girl is now countersuing and trying to go after Katz for damages relating to underage prostitution. They're arguing that the 75k exchanged wasn't for the film but as a sexual transaction which would change age of consent from 16 to 18.
The couple would need to prove that money was exchanged for sex, which I feel would be extraordinarily hard to do if both Katz and the girl denies it.
I don't doubt he had sex with her and that's what the money was for. However, I expect there won't be evidence strong enough to prove it was explicitly for sex and not for her film project. Considering she was above the age of consent, she's not the one levying the accusations, it's a civil claim, and there likely won't be the evidence to prove the prostitution, I don't think this is going to stick in any way. Is there even any evidence that proves they had sex if they both deny it?

Yah I don’t get it either, not sure what is meant by “underage” when age of consent is “met”. Does being a minor change things if money is involved?

Not just him, they've been mouthpieces for the sports teams for decades.
Hugh Campbell with the Esks though the late 70s ran the Edmonton press. Sather through the 80s had those guys like Jones and Cam Cole and Matheson in lock step which Lowe has carried on and continued.

Not that this is unbelievable considering his previous allegations, but if you read the article, it appears as though the girl in question (along with seven other ballerinas) is suing a couple for sexual abuse, and it’s the counter suit from that couple that names Katz.
So, these allegations against Katz are coming from a couple being accused of sexual abuse, not coming from the girl in question (though the text messages, if legit, are pretty obvious).
Could very well be true, but adds an additional weird layer.
