I'm so sad to be losing him, but we should get a kings RANSOME for Tkachuk.
For those saying Eichel return, I'd argue Tkachuk is significantly more valuable because of all the intangibles let alone the career points.

Better be an insane haul.

Next up - Hanifin

I doubt Coronato signs.

We are in big trouble, this franchise is not trending well.
You may want him to be more valuable than Eichel but he had more team contract control AND is a centre.

That stuff matters.

I'm sure Johnny knew this, which could be another reason he wanted out.

If sign and trade is on the table, I would think that that team control is almost better in this instance.

Hahahahhaha it would be pretty funny if the AHL team move to Calgary was the precursor to moving the NHL franchise to Houston or something. Just the final bird flip in a series of crotch kicks.

It was rumored that Tkachuk would strongly consider re-signing if Johnny had stayed.

Lol, Flames moving to Houston probably has about as much of a chance as Coyotes moving to Halifax.

Ya this is a domino effect from losing your best player no doubt.

If Johnny had stayed so does Tkachuk IMO.

this might not be a bad thing, he would want to get paid as a 100 plus point player which he isnt. the flames need to make a good trade and avoid a Leeman/Gilmour trade which would turn this into Young Guns 2

These players should be actively seeking extensions in Calgary, not leaving. This off-season has been nothing short of embarrassing and disastrous.

We really need to take a step back as an organization and re-build an approach as to how to make this organization, and location, more desirable for players. If it's as simple as a new arena, then that should be the focus.

This active departure of key players needs to stop. We can't compare socially to the likes of American markets or those of Toronto/Montreal/Vancouver, but there's so many other things we can look at that can be marketed as such. This city can be a destination with the right organizational philosophy, commitment and market strategy.

Brady is also the centrepiece (and captain) of an up and coming Ottawa team that is still rebuilding and hasn't made the playoffs yet with their core. Brady also hasn't had any taste of the playoffs, so he wouldn't know what it would be like to face the best player in the league in a series and get absolutely steamrolled.

It's a really simplistic take to even compare Brady and Matthew's preferences. They're not conjoined twins who think alike

His value will be a lot higher now than at the trade deadline.

Thank goodness it's teamS as in plural. That way Tre doesn't have to bend over for one team and spell R-U-N
