Exactly my thought this morning.

First I have ever heard of any of this.

Or I was told and completely forgot ... also possible.

Wait, the mods had to have told you about PIMKing during that whole thing, no?

That was one of the biggest things to ever happen on this site. They were shutting down threads, conversing over what to do day by day as everything unraveled and coming to the realization that CP'ers had been bilked out of thousands of dollars, etc.

He should probably delete this one about adding more car subwoofers started shortly after the GoFundMe too. I dunno, suspicious timing, not suspicious timing? Who can really say?

if someone here does installs please pm me

There's a pretty easy play here. Just refund the money and claim that the negative parasites on this forum ruined a good idea. Everybody wins.

For a supposed enlightened and highly intelligent message board, there sure is a lot of terrible decisions and treating of people.

First off, I have no doubt that Gimp had full intention of doing all things right. I think the first mistake everyone made was they gave money. Isn't there a little thing called buyer beware? That is in no means a condemnation upon Gimp or anyone else.

Also, things must have gotten a bit strange after the loss and end of the Flames season. Now what do you do? You either give everyone the money back or you go full in. Again, buyer beware, again, good intentions, again, not necessarily nefarious intentions.

I am an outsider, no dog in the race. But it sure seems like if you expected 100 percent faithfulness to everything that there would have been a meetup, there would have been some form of agreement signed, and follow ups would be a must. No offense at all to Gimp or anyone else but it is the internet. This is not real life. You have to take care of things and if I gave Gimp money I personally I would consider it my fault if things don't work out. I am responsible for my own actions.

Just reading some of Gimp's posts, and forgive me if I misunderstand, but it seems like there may be some health issues of some sort. If that is the case wouldn't a 'woke' board such as this be a little more understanding? Instead this board just like everything social media is accuse first and to hell with the proof or what happens to the guy regardless of guilt or innocence.

I guess I am saying that money given = buyer beware. Compassion for a man that seems to really be battling in a pickle regardless of what the reality may be as I am not face to face with him either. The lack of compassion, understanding, realization that if I really wanted to take care of my investment I would be invested in my investment. Face to face meeting, email, Zoom, whatever it takes.

Again I have no horse in this race. I am not trying to do anything but hopefully bring back a little bit of humanity to social media even if I am laughed right out of here. I find it all sad honestly. Flame away

Yeah, I'm not seeing the same nefariousness from F_G, as I did with PIMking.

To me it's naivete, vs an impostor. And especially, not loving how harsh some of you are in pursuing him.

Not gonna lie, I feel bad for FG, and I kind of knew this would be how this thread would devolve to once money's involved. I think there were good intentions on both sides, I don't think FG is a scammer, and I think people who donated money really wanted to help a fellow Flames fan out in the spirit of the playoffs.

Having been burnt myself in the previous PIMKing thread, I don't really get myself involved in these anymore. I wasn't super bitter about being had by PIMKing (was only like $20 bucks), but it did sour my on my experience in helping any cper out financially going forward.

The $20 spent on PIMking was the best $20 I ever spent. Great entertainment value.
