I'm worried that the Thugriders are going to end someone's career if they can't control their players. The last two weeks have been really really bad for them.

Such a gutless organization and city. Instead of trying to end guys' careers with beer bottles, they've moved on to dirty hits and helmet swings. They've really come a long way over the years.

I was thinking yesterday how the Riders got rid of Zach Collaros in favor of Cody Fajardo.
I know Collaros didn’t get his game back until he arrived in Winnipeg, but I wonder how things might have been different had he done so earlier…

The league should start fining the team if the team failed to control their own players. Last week, one of their player tried to end a player's career on the opposite team and the team failed to do anything. A week later, another player on their team swung a helmet at another helmetless player and now spitting at another player on the opposite team. And the HC came out and said he doesn't believe his player would do that?

Yup, that makes three players (Brandon Alexander along with Lemon and Richardson) that have accused Duke of spitting. I guess they're all lying and Duke is innocent.

Masolli came out yesterday with an article at 3down football, calling BS on Marino's claims that he attempted to reach out to apologize.
The whole thing on the Rider's side sounds incredibly out of control.
A incredibly dirty play where the headcoach uses he can't be racist he owns a color TV style line.
A written up apology instead of the player coming out to do it, after the fact.
A player swinging a helmet and being accussed of spitting on a player.
Now the QB fighting severe pain and doesn't get pulled by the coach.
Who's controlling things in that dressing room?

Captain, it has not been handled well at all and all this stuff occurring in a year when the Riders are hosting the Grey Cup. I'd hate to think that the reason the Riders didn't outright cut Marino is the fact that they are trying to play for the Grey Cup at home, but it's hard not to believe that's a contributing factor.
The offensive line for the Riders is like a turnstile making Cody run for his life back there and he's taking way too much punishment. At any rate, he needs to miss a game or two. Will Craig make that call?

Marino is a decent player, so yeah, they are hoping to keep him.
Its Grey Cup at all costs. I wonder if we get another practice roster scandal from the Riders, where they break the cap rules.
Craig isn't the coach I thought he was. It also feels like he has little control over that locker room.
If they lose Cody for a few games, the Riders are likely looking at a cross over spot that might be an advantage.
But Calgary and Winnipeg look to be the class of the league. BC's offense looks very good, but their defense is shaky. The Riders haven't looked great so far.
I expect that at some point the teams in the East get their stuff together. Its a powerful motivator for teams to knock out the home team for the Cup as well.
the only thing that I know for sure, is that the Elks are horrifically bad.
