Why not? Depending on price I would absolutely take Niederreiter (we'd have to move cap to do it but he would a nice add to the top 6).

Phil the Thrill faces easier competition but gets thrown in the d-zone to start often. Statsny faces harder competition but takes a lot more offensive zone starts, but is able to drive play to a greater extent. Both are able to keep their head above water at minimum but both look like great fits in the forward lines.

My guess is waiting on his first choice which is COL

Avs probably mulling over whether or not they want to bring him back for 5.5-6 and who they move out to do it

Cause he's everyone's favourite Pillsbury Doughboy.

He was given the gift of being a freak athlete with no need to put in effort to do so. He can’t eat his way out of being a freak athlete.

Klingberg possibly coming to Calgary? He's following quite a few flames players on his IG.

We did lose Gudbranson, who would be expendable if Mackey gets a spot, Michael Stone?

I think that was debunked. The screenshot actually shows who the person viewing Klingberg's is actually following.

Niederreiter is big (6'2"), very fast, and not at all afraid to go to the battle areas. He is always in the positive when it comes to fancy stats, responsible defensively, and can get 20 goals. There's definitely worse we could do as far as free agent signings go.
