Makes their complaints that Canada is now a communist country very hilarious.

It's a happy sound.
What's way worse is having to hear humans. It harshes my mellow when I'm trying to relax at home in the evening with windows open, and I have to hear the chatter and laughter of people.
|
I love basketball too, but the sound of the ball bouncing off the pavement doesn't bring back fond memories. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of air conditioning so I can close the windows.
My friend once said that I probably have misophonia because I seem to be annoyed and distracted by almost every sound once it starts to become repetitive.

I much prefer long passphrase style passwords which don’t need special characters or numbers then 10 digit with a non-first letter Capital, a non ending number and a non-ending symbol where symbols can’t be used to replace their common letter.
|
Also with a passphrase, you're less likely to have to keep making the password input box visible while you're entering it in, as opposed to a jumble of letters/numbers/special characters.

Funny. I was just saying to my roommate a few minutes ago how the sound of someone shooting hoops outside gave us a pleasant feeling of being in a “neighbourhood”.

Having to get my wisdom teeth pulled GMG. It's not even the pain, aside from the first day that hasn't been an issue. But having gaping pits in my mouth that constantly trap food bits is incredibly annoying, how long does it take usually for the sockets to heal over?

Had mine removed about 20 years ago but I remember the holes being there for quite some time

the wound left behind can take up to a couple of months to fully heal.
but realistically, I think about a week for the worst of it.
Just remember to not swish and spit with salt water, just a gentle rinse or you could get dry sockets.
using a small syringe works really well.

Just like, kids playing, sprinkler going, someone playing basketball in the driveway. Maybe community feeling is a better word.

Ah yes, the sound of a basketball bouncing off someone's foot and then denting the neighbours car door. Lovely
Damn kids. Just play basketball on PlayStation instead

Ya I'm using the syringe the dentist gave me which works well, but I have to use it several times to get all the crap stuck in the sockets. I'm 2 weeks out from the extractions so I'm not too worried about dry socket now, just annoying always feeling something stuck in those areas until I go rinse or brush

You’ll also have very bad breath for a few days after even with the rinse until things start healing. Probably a good idea to wear a mask for a while if you’re around others a lot if you care. Just something to think about.

microsoft billing.
they've been billing me for a year for PC game pass, which i cancelled almost within the same week.
this is after discovering they've also been charging me for my minecraft realm i closed 7 months ago. my credit card company had to block the charges and refunded me the entire thing. MS said that i didnt have an active sub and i must have given my credit card to someone else. idiots.

That sucks, nevermind the time to have to chase that down.
I always go through the process of getting gift cards to redeem for subscriptions rather than providing credit card info to them. Generally a better deal and seems like a bad idea to let them have access to that. A way to prevent that from happening perhaps.

I use PayPal for the same reason. You can cancel it within PayPal and they just won't process it anymore

I set up email alerts for CC charges. Easier to catch rogue payments.

a really great dude on MS helped me out. was able to find the billing source, and shut it down. took him ages. reversed another 150 in charges and promised no future billing.

Do other people not go through their credit cards continuously to catch these things and track spending?

This is why you never put a credit card on file for subscription services, if you can avoid it. I did the trick of buying 3 years worth of Xbox Gold gift cards and converting them to Gamepass for $1, but even if that trick doesn't work when my sub eventually expires I'll still just buy the Gamepass cards. Can't be any phantom billing if there's no card to bill it to
