^^ on flights, there’s no doubt that Columbus is much more convenient. But when someone says they want to be close to family, people imagine they want to live within a comfortable drive. Like if his wife wants coffee with her mom, or if Guy want to pop over to see the baby. I don’t think people thought about “well, it’s an easier flight”. NJ/Philly/NYI or even DC or Boston would have made those possible. Not Columbus, or Nashville or Chicago.

I've been to over 20 States. Lived in 2 big cities. Visited a couple dozen other big cities.
The Eastern seaboard is very nice and I can see why someone would choose to live in DC, Philly, NYC, Boston over Calgary.
California has its "thing" I guess, but it's a bit over rated. Not really my cup of tea.
The rest? Anywhere from meh to gross.
And to the person that said DC and Miami suck.... no, you're very wrong.

I just want to watch you name 400+ cities. It’d be educational.

Yes, I concede this. But one suburb is pretty much like another to me. Especially rich ones.

It’s too early in these negotiations to be conceding suburbs. Please wait till the 11th hour.

Now I’m wondering if Gross was almost tweeting that because he thought Johnny was crazy not to take the offer, and it was a bit of message about himself. Like I got Calgary to put it on the table, but my crazy client has decide to do something dumb here. When you see what happens tomorrow, know I got him max value and he’s off the depend for family reasons?
This is just me having fun speculating and coming up with my own crazy thoughts. Also Glee.

Well also, what’s an agent make? 5%? That’s close to a million out of his pocket as well.

Good heavens is it his sister or a nephew or cousin in the hospital with some incurable disease? Where does the Gaudreau family ( the ones treated like Red Carpet Royalty ) want us to send the donations?
What's that? Every bodies just fine?
He just wants to be closer to mom?
Johnny Mommys Boy works too.
And when he returns and the Saddledome tribute video starts, those paying fans who so desire should turn their backs on his tribute the way he turned his back on Calgary.

I don't think Columbus has many fans who care enough to read many online hockey pundits, especially Sid Seixeiro.
