Columbus is travelling to Finland this year, so that skews the numbers for this season.

Although, you'd think the total number of flights would be a bigger factor than air time since an extra hour or two in the air isn't that big a deal, especially with the planes these guys fly on.

I'd expect the total number of flights to be roughly the same for the Flames or Jackets. The only other teams that Columbus kind of close to are Pittsburgh and Detroit (and they're not even in the same Division as Detroit).

I am glad its a team that I have no feelings towards, one way or the other. I don't mind their fans being rewarded either.

I'm also glad that it's a team that will likely be a perennial 10th place-er drifting perpetually in no man's land.

I find this hard to believe. He was treated like royalty here and likely would have had his number retired if he signed another deal here. He was the guy.

It was interesting how Boomer on twitter was adamant that Gaudreau would not command 10M+ on the open market. Knowing Treliving is one of the more communicative GMs out there, perhaps he knew the market better than Gross and ultimately called his bluff. Unreal.
