Everytime I see Pacioretty's name I hear the old Montreal forum announcer saying his name.

Interesting to see if they are indeed going after Kadri.

Patches is a PPG guy and the same age as Kadri. Vegas has a decent underused centre in Stephenson who plays for cheapo bucks.

takes 10 minutes less to fly from Calgary according to google. Both Vegas and Calgary are 37 hours driving.

Supposedly this is to free up space for the Smith extension which is a weird choice.

Pacioretty is the better player and was still PPG last year.

Great move for Carolina - 1 x $7M for Pacioretty is no risk
