To be fair, this will be Gudbranson's 8th NHL team. I'm sure that he was looking for some stability and term, and maybe the Flames weren't willing to ensure him of that.

4x4 is pretty steep, we’ll see how things are in 2 years, but Calgary’s roster should look really different and a lot younger too.
