My guess is the House & Senate swings back into solid GOP majority in November, and all the talk about Texas leaving the union strangely dies off.
There are 35 senate seats up this year.
21 are current Republican seats so they can't gain anything there.
Of the 14 Democrat seats - you've got 8 that are virtually certain to not change: Hawaii, Maryland, Vermont, New York, California, Illinois, Connecticut, Oregon
You've got another 2 that would doubtful: Washington and Colorado
So they have to beat an incumbent in New Hampshire, Arizona, Georgia and/or Nevada.
While also defending an open seat in Pennsylvania.
They've got this nutbar running in Georgia and Dr. Oz in PA which makes it a lot tougher on them then they need it to be.

Another wild Jan 6 hearing today. Every hearing seems to be bigger and more shocking than the previous one. I'm listening on C-SPAN.
Still won't matter, there is zero chance that Trump actually has to answer for his crimes. Garland or whoever will say they need to "move on to heal the nation" or some other bull####. Nobody on either side of the aisle with real power wants to set a precedent of high level politicians actually being held accountable
How is it different than guys who ram their cars into crowds? Strictly by the letter of the law?
Were the cars available in “extra body damage” options? Extendable cattle cages to hit the most amount of people possible? Steering wheel available in fingerprint free leather?
If so, yeah they should be sued.

Interesting but this can't fly. Can I sue car manufacturers if I'm a victim of car violence? What about tables saws or exploding kitchen appliances?
Car manufacturers don’t design their vehicles to specifically kill as many people as possible as quickly as possible. Maybe if we’re talking about some crazy James Bond Aston Martin with people-killing gizmos that came factory installed, there would be a good case to sue the manufacturer for it. If your table saw or your kitchen appliances injure you through no fault of your own, you do have cause to sue.
