I think the Flames have a legitimate grudge with Gaudreau here, he said for ages that he would return, the flames offer the best money allegedly and he still leaves.
He should have had the balls to be up front about this a year ago if this was his intent, he screwed the team by delivering this news 6 hours before free agency.

I said i suspect he will be signed long term in the next few days which eliminates the QO and walking next year stuff.
If he doesnt sign i suspect he is traded before season start.

team has had lots of playoff chances with this leadership group
Something isnt right when the games get tough
Im ok with some massive changes and I like that management has some options now which they wouldnt have had if Gaudreau. Basically having room to maneuver is worth a lot when the team is underperforming when the games get to mean something.
