I don’t understand the family push to be close. Even from the family themselves. Get your extra 10+ million. You can still retire at home with young kids before 40.

Yeah a lot of young people move away from home. Not because they hate their family but because they want to live in a new city, nee country, new experiences etc.
The Gaudreau’s can do whatever they want but not every one is looking to stay in one place their whole life.

Yeah, if he accepts $10.2 x 7 when there's supposedly $10.5 x 8 on the table, it's more a question of why he didn't tell the Flames sooner that he wouldn't be back. No need to take it down to the wire if you're set on leaving and the better offer isn't going to be persuasive.
