You are unstable in this thread..
And you are nothing but a troll trying to stir the pot. You add nothing to this board, that is all you do. You trying to make a post like you follow the Flames is comical, look at your history. You are only here because people are in edge and you want to see how far you can push it. How in F you were ever unbanned is a damn mystery, all you here for is to create chaos. Go away.

I really don't think that JG walking would be cripple the Flames for years and years. It would be a set back for sure. But not the end of the team forever.

As someone with young kids, I do understand the pull of being near family when a baby comes. I will totally understand if Philly or the Devils are the choice, as raising Johnny Jr. with grandma and grandpa (on both sides of the family) close is important.

if he signs with a team outside of that region, I wont get it at all.

Yes yes yes, you've given this speech before.

It's completely realistic. Since I'm an adult, I will wish him the best of luck and hope to meet+beat him in the finals some day.

Yeah, they’d just have to…rebuild themselves. Especially if Tkachuk walks as well.

I think that all depends on if Tkachuk bails as a result of Johnny leaving. If Tkachuk says no to a long term deal cause he doesn't see the team as competitive without johnny then the team is in trouble for more than a couple years.

Maybe because no one takes you seriously? Just like you shouldn't take answers about wanting to stay ahead of free agency seriously.

See? It all comes full circle. Just take a break man, this is clearly affecting you emotionally way too much.

I am still shocked their initial offer was 9.5 (if rumours are to be believed). Did they actually think that he is 80 percent the player that Panarin is?

They couldn't beat the team that got swept by the avs...with Gaudreau. They aren't finding an upgrade on him so they will be worse.

Losing Gaudreau won't cripple them, they might end up just missing the playoffs and drafting around 15 or so if they stay the course.

I've been dehydrating Gatorade for weeks and am just snorting the electrolytes. I have 840 grams left. I can go all day.

Every eastern conference team, especially in the US, are much closer/faster to grandparents and other family.

Don't get me wrong they would be awful in 2023, that said, they still have their 1st pick, and they are moving into a cycle where prospects are ready for spots on the team.

I think with solid Goal and D, which the Flames have locked up, there is always a punchers chance.

Most teams move in cycles of being competitive and non competitive, I know that the Flames peaked fairly low in this cycle, which is a part of what is frustrating, but down turns are always going to happen, and it isn't like Gaudreau and Tkachuk have brought in an era of sustained success.

Not sure how it’s in JG’s interest to do that. Even if the team he prefers gets his rights, more money over 7 years is better.
It will be less money. Unless it's something really stupid. He'd need to get 12x7 to make the same same money as 8x10.5.

I don't think it was the wrong move. Makes them competitive with the extra year what his AAV would be with 7 years. Also says, 'hey, we want to build a roster around you too, so the extra money can help us build a cup-contending roster'.

What I'd heard was last summer the offer to Johnny was very underwhelming, which may have been where some damage was done.

It would primarily just suck as a fan because of how much fun and excitement Johnny brings to the team. He's a special player.
