From just a pure hockey perspective, Kane only makes sense if Johnny stays. He's a finisher, and would need a good playmaker like Johnny to play with.

I doubt it… I also doubt he’d pot 30 in a full season. Mcdavid is the only reason he’s getting another contract IMO.

He was the Sharks leading scorer in 2020-2021. Kane is a good player. People question the non-hockey things but strictly from a hockey perspective, IMO he would hit 30 if healthy.
His last 6 seasons:
28 goals in 70 games
29 goals in 78 games
30 goals in 75 games
26 goals in 64 games
22 goals in 56 games (shortened season)
22 goals in 43 games.

Lines up with Bingo’s comments earlier where he said the Flames likely had a taker for Lucic’s contract. In my mind if he makes that deal today or tomorrow it is a good sign for Flames fans

I agree, might see long term extensions for both chucky and Johnny. At least I hope so! Man I just want to know one way or the other at this point!

If the flames lose Johnny and Chucky won't sign a long term extension? Is it not time to rip it apart.
Being a mediocre team for years isn't what I want. Possibly tare it down and have some studs for when we get the new area (if that happens).

IF Johnny walks and Tkachuck only wants to sign a 1 year deal....and they go out and get either/or Kadri and Kane, it will become one of the darkest timelines.
