Really only about 4 teams right now looking like they are all in on Bedard too

Arizona
Seattle
Chicago
Buffalo

Montreal will be better if Price plays and Ottawa isn't really rebuilding anymore. I could see Detriot moving up the standings as well

I suppose they might be clearing room to assume a bad contract for a good pick, but this seems like peanuts.

Or, it could go the other way.

That’d be a great move by Ottawa.

Yeah, I'd be really interested in seeing Puljujarvi on the right side of Stützle and DeBrincat. Assuming, of course, that they don't want to break up Tkachuk–Norris–Batherson.
But then there's also the question of Giroux going home ... and in that case I think he takes that RW spot on the DeBrincat line and Puljujarvi would go to Line 3 with Pinto and Joseph/Formenton.

He couldn’t thrive with McDavid.

I can't believe people still cling to Puljujarvi turning into something.
The guy shoves his own tongue up his nose on a regular basis. He's smart like rock.

Having Strome on the roster may win them a game or two, and with his QO being somewhere around $3.75M I believe, it’d make him harder to trade before the deadline - so the Hawks can’t risk that! Best to let him go. When tanking, one cannot risk any extra wins

He was clearly not tradeable. I think its just dumping a player's contract no one wanted who likely has no future in the NHL.

I really disagree. I hope this doesn't happen, Brown is a very useful player, JP not so much.

Puljujarvi is a great person and I wish him the best for whatever team he moves on to. He has skill but he skates around the ice like a swarm of bees are chasing him. His hands are questionable in close as well. He misses tap in goals that are empty nets and his mindset isn't always there. Even during games, players have had to talk to him.
He's a wonderful person though and like a big kid. Nobody is happier to score goals than him, he always has a kid like smile. Even his social media page is just so nice to see because he just enjoys life. Wish him the best but an incredibly frustrating player. I'd welcome the rumored Brown swap.
