Haven't watched it yet, but two interesting things coming out of the press tour :
Hemsworth and Waititi both commented on the first cut being nearly four hours long. A couple of things about this, you don't shoot something without at least the smallest intention of including it. It's also bonkers to cut out more than half of a first cut. You don't do that by tightening scenes, you do that by cutting scenes.
The second is Bale said that his favorite scenes hit the cutting room floor.
Does this pretty much guarantee a big edit for streaming, or do they 'stick to their guns' just to double down on the theatrical cut? Waititi generally doesn't have director's cuts.

It does seem to be cut pretty thin not surprised to hear a lot was left in the edit suite. Seemed to also cut into the Waititi charm which is built on long drawn out scenes and awkward pauses. Ex: Jane and Val dancing to the speaker. Something that probably would go on longer in a Waititi cut.
I thought it was good. It took a lot of what was good in Ragnarok and built on that... but at times almost took it a little to far. Some of it was awkward.
I'd put it at 8/10 where as Ragnarok was a 10 for me.
I'll spoiler this just in case:
Spoiler!
Not surprised that there was a lot cut from the movie, lots of parts felt rushed and they definitely could have fleshed a few of the characters out a lot more.
Bale was awesome, great sympathetic villain. I would agree with him being one of the more unique and 'realistically' motivated villains in the MCU.
But I think my favourite part was Russell Crowe. That whole sequence was great.
Ok now this is an actual content spoiler don't read if you haven't see the movie:
Spoiler!
The mid credits scene was awesome. Very excited to see Hercules in the MCU. I also loved the fact that they didn't kill off Zeus obviously based on my comments above. Will be a great villain moving forward

Wow just finished Thor Love and Thunder and hmmmm yea not feeling it at all. To be honest that might be my least favorite MCU film yet, the CGI was awful, and all the scenes felt flat like it was shot on green screen. Too many jokes and I didnt find them funny. I don't want to bash it too much because it seems like people are enjoying it, but I will say I preferred Morbius

A lot of that depends on how much CGI was done to the cut scenes. JL Snyder had another 80 million put into it so you won’t see that here
Yeeea about that directors cut, it ain't happening....
I guess he never watched Blade Runner before, or any of the LOTR films
I think those are exceptions to the rule. I enjoy seeing directors cut just to see what's changed but most aren't improved enough to have released their version.
this guy.... completely ruined Free Guy with his craptastic acting. Never watched one of his directed movies though. Hopefully he is better.

Really? That's surprising. I'm not sure I've seen anything he's involved with that I didn't like:
Flight of the Conchords
What We Do in the Shadows (Film & Series)
Hunt for the Wilderpeople
Ragnarok
The Mandalorian
Jojo Rabbit
Reservation Dogs
Our Flag Means Death
The guy is pretty brilliant, IMO, and I'm looking forward to seeing Love & Thunder.
