maybe he would prefer retiring rather than make $500k (or less) after taxes and expenses this year?

Lucic shouldn't be tough because the cost in real dollars for any team that gets him is barely above league minimum. So, they shouldn't have to pay a team to take that on.

The challenge will be finding a team with the cap space to acquire him that Lucic will also be willing to go to.

Lucic might want to hang them up though. 800k and high escrow and he has played a rough game.

Sadly, the Oilers are now a better team.

This outcome was totally predictable from the moment the deal was signed.

Unfortunately yes. It might even free up enough cap space for Kane.

Completely forgot that Holland signed Kassian to this deal. I thought it was a Chiarelli special.

So does this mean decisions about the "Code" leave Edmonton and go to Arizona now? Glad we won't have to hear SN wax poetic about the dufus.

At least I don't have to see Kassian's stupid face as often. The Oilers are still no good.

Whatever, they’ll use it to sign Kuemper to a inflated contract with a defence that can still best be described as the colour of their jersey… hot urine.

Good. He will sour that room as planned then.

What do we think Yamamoto is worth? Cuz I still don’t see much cap space for the oilers.

Who is the tough guy in Edmonton now? Kane if they can re-sign him? Did he even have a single tilt in Oilers trash colors?
