Yeah pick #7 isn’t the same as #26.

I look forward to Jarnkrok becoming a fan favorite next season and shutting a lot of people up.

Doesn’t matter, still a first rounder, not saying we could have landed DeBrincat, but my god we for sure could have gotten someone better than someone who looks like they’re skating in cement in Toffoli.

First round picks are premium’s, Toffoli was not and is not worth a first rounder, in my humble opinion.

The ESPN feed mentioned Philly is likely to get Gaudreau. Just in passing, but a lot of agreement on their panel.

His contract was the most valuable piece in the deal.

I expect Toffoli will be much better this year. Also some other young players like Dube and Valimaki.

I want Gaudreau to stay obviously, but at this point I just want him to re-sign because of all these people in the media thinking Philly is a done deal.

I think he was worth a 24+ overall in a mediocre draft, personally. What I didn’t like was how so many people thought he would be the one to take them over the top as a projected first line talent. He was on the downside of his career and was good for the second line to grind and pot the occasions goal. That was it. But many thought he was THE answer. The team needs a proper top end core player and Johnny and Tkachuk aren’t it.
