My view is obstructed now but I saw a really low hanging funnel/shelf in the springbank direction.

Yeah, we have friends that have one there too. I don't know if they've pulled it back since they had to move it for the flood danger couple/few weeks back. This looks to be on the north side of 27, just west of that little gas station right by the bridge across from Westward Ho.

From monsoon season to fun prairie thunderstorms/tornados.

Summer is truly here.

Timed things perfectly this afternoon. I left the office 30 minutes early and pulled into my yard on my bike just as the first drops of rain started to fall. But now I'll have to BBQ dinner in the rain.

Cochrane looks to be getting ####ed in the arse. I'm just glad the hail is diverting away from here.

Part of me wants to see a day that rivals the one when I saw 3 tornadoes around medicine hat. Part of me is like no, let's spare the lives of people and their livestock.

From Downtown it looks like the winds shifted hard to the NE. North looks to be getting hit hard.

Wish I had a better vantage point to see the north. That cloud looks epic.

Video & pictures from this lady, a pilot - she was up by Bergen. On her post, someone says 6 homes gone near Bergen, from the tornado. Guess we'll find out at some point, if that's true.

Underrated community, that one. Great access. Grocery store. Reservoir is close. Leisure centre. Strip mall with shoppers, etc.

Mid city on the west side is always the best place to be (anywhere between the nw valley and about southland dr)

Every single time the most extreme weather always diverts North or South but rarely hits here head on.

If you're anywhere east of Deerfoot you're always bound to get those northeast bound cell that pass through Okotoks.

Hail briefly fell in airport area, not bigger than smartie sized. Bigger issue is the torrential rain, guaranteed there will be flooding.
