I really hope some picks are added. Should be fun either way!

Betting tomorrow will be busier than today on the trade front and even the Flames front for that matter.

Unless Tkachuk gets traded. Ugh.

I dont see the Flames standing still today, Brad is usually active and our position with 2 big UFA's puts us in a precarious spot.

I do think the Flames likely trade down to acquire more picks, but that likely happens tomorrow. I just hope Johnny has been fair and given the Flames some news before tonight, if we leave the draft with no indication we are in for some pain if he walks.

Like always, Treliving will try and hit a home run on day one of the draft. All it takes is a willing partner. I could definitely see talks with Ottawa for Tkachuk because of the strong likelihood of him re signing with them.

The list of picks traded out leaves a lot to be desired. The only 2 I like are the Vladar and Zadorov trades. Toffoli could turn it around still, but the rest of the list is a yikes.

I'm hoping for a big splash trade to get an early pick, but doubt it happens.

Though I think it's feasible we see someone traded away (Mangiapane?) for a later pick in the 1st round.

Can Kylington traded for 1st rounder today? If they trade Mangiapane today I want next year's 1st, no for this year's one.

As an unsigned RFA, doubt it.

If this year's draft is weak as most of people think, I'm sure some teams looking for trading their later 1st for a real player who will help the team now.
For us I think Valimaki can play 3rd pairing or with Tanev, so getting 1st for Kylington would be nice.

Speadsheet resource for reference for the draft - UPside's rankings plus comparison to Bobby McKenzie's and NHL Central Scouting plus many subsections of the spreadsheet.

Enjoy Draftmas.

He is a complete idiot. He also thinks Tkachuk gets traded today despite multiple reputable sources saying the Flames have no interest in trading him. How do some of these guys get jobs?

Will Nault is an idiot, but not wrong on this one, in my opinion. Even if you love the draft, it would be better from home.

As a 19 year old I drove from Saskatoon to Calgary to watch the draft when they had it at the Dome.

They went off the board and chose Brent Krahn. I also bought a blasty jersey at fan attic.

Regrets? I've had a few...

He legit said no disrespect and then insulted his audience.

Who cares if he wouldn't pay $15? He doesn't need to say it with such disdain and then fire off an insult to boot.

This is a comparison made before, but he's the drunk blowhard at the bar shouting his head off.

FBS, the way you put it was a respectful way of putting it. Basically saying its not for you and you'd think it would be better at home.

I bet Will Nault is the type of grumpy guy that hates traveling as well. Why bother wasting time and money to go visit places where you can just look at pictures of the same thing from the internet.

I attended the 2000 draft. I thought it was great to attend. Would do it again for sure as $15 is the cost of a meal at McDonalds these days.
