Michael Fisher
Date of Birth: May 2, 2004
Ht: 6-foot-2 Wt: 198 pounds
Position: Right Defense
This is who I think would be interesting, but I am not sure where he will go.
Do you step up early and take him with the second round pick, or gamble that he will be available with the fifth round pick because he has just played high school.

So do the Flames avoid Russians or look for falling Russians and roll the dice on them?

I would roll the dice on them if they fall well below where they would otherwise be taken and they feel they are the BPAs. None of the picks we have are that valuable that it would hobble the team if it didn't work out.
Who knows, some of these Russian kids might be desperate to get out right now and at least you wouldn't having to worry about the other Russian factor, like going into the KHL.

Who will the Flames draft in the second, and why is he Swedish? If not Odelius or Salomonsson, who likely won’t be there anyway, hopefully C Filip Bystedt is still there. He’s a big (6’4”) center with good all-around ability, and nice stats. Skating isn’t bad, but will need to be upgraded.

I just hope they take a big swing. Don't waste their only high pick on a bottom of the roster, high floor type.
Take a big swing. Always.

My gut tells me they will be trading down on their 2nd round pick to get more picks.

If anything I hope they trade up to take Lane Hutson. Kid looks like a star who is only going to be gettable due to size but unlikely to last until the 50s.

I think Lanes going late first.
Unlike Fox in his draft year there is a ton of hype and media flair all over Lane this year.

Anyone think a team will take a shot at Miroshnichenko in the first two rounds?
Can he overcome the Hodgkins Lymphoma ?
I'd take him at the Flames 2nd round pick. Sure there's the double down on risk with the Russian and the Hodgkins thing. But that's essentially a free top ten pick when you aren't even close to having a top 32 pick.

I saw him at the number 26 ranking. The one the Flames traded.

His treatment has gone well
But he has both that and the Russian factor that will drop him
At this point I wonder if the latter is the bigger issue

Yeah, I'd take him if he was there at the Flames pick. Total silver lining thing for me. Skilled sharpshooter who can skate well and a RHS? Ticks all the Dammage79 prospect boxes.

It will be even more interesting to see where Pavel Mintyukov goes. He’s a sure-fire top-10 talent, only bested by Nemec and Jiricek for defensemen. If I were to dare take a Russian, he and Miroshnichenko would be the only two I would consider.

Chris Peters & Corey Pronman on a podcast love his skating ability, but little else. Probably pass.

No chance Miro makes it past Washington at 20. Too much talent there and a great core to bring him up with. RHS Lw Russian sniper, can’t think of a better spot for him to develop

A few DM'ed me asking when it'd be released, and it turns out the answer was today. We had to fight and claw to get it out due to some unforeseen circumstances, but I'm as proud as ever on our release. It's our most cohesive release yet in terms of a full team effort.
We go 300 prospects deep with full profiles, so chances are we've nailed the three picks the Flames will make. Also, don't sleep on the promo code calgarypuck to save 25%.

Had a chance to get caught up, so hopefully this post is helpful today and tomorrow!
