The Sopranos: Season 6, Part 2 Thread
Well, 4 days away, April 8, the premiere of the final season of the Sopranos. I thought last season had its moments but there was a lot of things that I thought were unnecessary. But the question remains, how are they going to end this show?? Is someone big gonna get killed, is Tony gonna finally get caught, will Chris get clean, will Carm find out the truth about Ade, will AJ begin to settle down and get his life finally in order??
I personally don't think they are going to end this on a huge shocking note, I just don't see it. I have a feeling that the final episode will end off with Meadow's wedding and everything will be resolved and it will go out on a pretty positive not and everyone will bitch that 10 people didn't get killed in the finale. I just can't see Tony or any immediate Soprano family member getting killed, I just don't buy this notion that Carmela is gonna get it. I dunno, I rambling here, but I would love to see some Soprano discussions.
If you wanna get caught up on the SOpranos is 7 minutes, check out this video, http://break.com/index/the_sopranos_...n_minutes.html
4 DAYS AWAY!!!!

Awesome. I'm looking forward to this as well. Althought, I didn't really enjoy the last season (or part 1 of season 6) as much as I have enjoyed previous seasons, I'm still hoping for a good showing.
I have a feeling something dramatic will happen at the end. I think Tony will probably get whacked. I'm also interested what wil happen with AJ. I think he'll continue his downward spiral. I don't see Carmella getting it either.

I agree, it's a little bittersweet. On one hand, I am super pumped to watch new episoded, but I don't want it to end. Sure, some of the episodes have been a little stale in the last season or 2, but Sundays in April-June won't be the same starting next year.

I expect some shocking things to happen... but I fully expect Tony to be alive at the end. If only to keep the door open for a movie in several years (perhaps after he's released from prison?)
The show can survive without anyone but him.

I just don't think there is going to be big "shocks" in this show. THe show in six seasons really hasn't had many moments where you go OH MY GOD. The last one I can think of was when Junior shot Tony. Sure, there are stuff that are a little surprising, but a lot of the time, you can see it coming. Example, everyone knew Adriana was gonna get it. It was just a matter of when, how and who. But when it happened, I don't think anyone was shocked. There are a lots of other instances like this(Chris getting shot, Jackie Jr getting killed, Tony killing Tony B etc...), but I think the only other things that had me shocked and where I remember saying HOLY , was when Janice shot Ritchie, because I didnt see that coming.
My point here is that the Sopranos hasnt't really been a shock kind of show and I dont think it will stray away from that in the final season, just my call. Anything that happens, I think we will see coming.

Perhaps "shocking development" is a better way to put it. Sort of like finding out Big Puss was an informer, or when Richie Aprile belted Janice and was shot for it... you know, stuff like that. Perhaps this season seeing the demise of Tony's heir apparent (one of them), or why he has such a soft spot for Uncle Junior.

I was personally pretty surprised when Tony killed Ralphie for the whole horse incident. I knew he was going to beat the hell out of him, but I didn't think he'd kill him.

I was shocked when Meadow's boy friend went to work early and caught Vito with the security guard.
I think that Phil's crew, if Phil dies or can't fully recover, will try to take Tony out. They will probably use the death of Fat Dom as an excuse.

Yeah, fair enough, but I think it was Ralphie's time to go, he had been a thorn in Tony's side for so long and the horse thing just put him over edge.

Definitely... I guess the first two seasons are more engrained in my memory... but now that you mention it, the whole Pie-O-My storyline resolution was shocking, as well as Vito... eeeeew. Though it was sort of shocking when the crew revealed they would have lpossibly forgiven it if he wasn't giving... another eeew.

Totally agree. Probably one of the most annoying characters on the show ever. I wanted to reach through the tv and slap the guy a couple of times. I just remember watching the show thinking I can't believe Tony just killed him. I thought Tony would eventually just decide enough is enough and send someone after him and justify it as a "business decision", not kill him in a fit of rage. But as I look back on it, it was a fitting end to Ralphie.

For sure... I thought all through Season 3 that he'd be "Richie Aprile'd" by the end, especially when he killed that stripper... one was just starting to think he'd stick around when Tony crushed him in that vicious fight.

I think Julianna Marguiles is going to get whacked by Tony, not an earth-shattering prediction, but a prediction none the less.

I'm actually really looking forward to the new episode of Entourage, which follows The Sopranos on Sunday night.

Syl is my absolute favourite character in this show. Don't think anything'll happen to him, but man if something did...

Yep, Entourage is unreal, I love the show, I can re-watch all the episodes anyday. I bought Season 3A yesterday, can't wait for this Sunday.

Does it air in Canada? If so, which station? I've seen it on CityTV, but I think they're still showing season 2.
