Kikuchi is so frustrating because sometimes he looks like he could be third or fourth in the rotation but, most of the time, he doesn’t look like a MLB calibre player. Being about to throw 95-96 as a leftie is super tempting, but his command is pure ####. He’s like a poor man’s Robbie Ray when Robbie Ray is at his very worst.
Kikuchi starts are pretty much unwatchable these days. He's so slow on the mound. Walks a ton of people. And oh yeah, gives up a ton of runs. At this point I'd really like to see Atkins go after a starter and relegate Kikuchi to the pen. See if he can figure out his command there.
There is no reason we should not have robo umps. If MLB wants a quality game, they should be all over the assistance for the umps because it is really bad.

Yup. Tennis figured it out, now baseball needs to do the same.
Once again the Jays show a ton of resolve and claw back into it and make it interesting. Anyone but Kikuchi starts that game and I think the Jays win it. Spotting your opponents 5 runs before things even get going is never a good recipe for success.
One area where Atkins sure has stumbled is the big money 4/5 starter that completely backfires. Tanner Roark and now Kikuchi.

Kikuchi might be getting close to being removed from the rotation at this point. At least until he figures his #### out.
Jays are now 4-10 when Kikuchi starts. 36-21 otherwise. He is absoluetly costing them right now, but they lack a better option......unless Castillo is legit, that is.
Jays better figure their #### out, if Tampa ever gets healthy they might end up in 4th place in the division again. That would make the movie basically a sequel.
