Well since the new Jets came in, they've each been out of the first round twice.

I believe that Trotz has a child that has some health concerns or had some health concerns at one point. A big emphasis for him was stability and the local specialists which was a key driver in him in getting a job in Washington and in the NY area. How that situation may have affected his decision with regards to Winnipeg, I don't know but could have been a factor was well.

Yeah, it isn't as though people from Winnipeg didn't do that relentlessly circa 1996..

Get outta here.

Nobody wants to play for your team, or coach it and you have had:

-Stable ownership
-Modern Arena
-Solid fanbase
-Relative on ice success

Tough to be taken seriously when your team is best known lately for being a dumping ground for bad contracts, a stepping stone for players who want guaranteed top minutes to get better contracts elsewhere, and the team that plays in a 5000 seat arena.

I just highlighted the differences between the two locations.. why does Winnipeg have trouble attracting players and coaches when they have stability in all areas?

If the Coyotes have had the following since day 1:

-Stable ownership
-Modern Arena
-Solid fanbase
-Relative on ice success

attracting players and coaches would never be an issue... Wayne fata'ing Gretzky was the coach in Arizona FFS, albeit a bad one.

The reason? Location, location, location... The Winnipeg Jets are like a beautiful house built in the worst neighborhood in a city.

I'm second hand embarrassed for this guy. His team is the laughing stock of north american sports, and he's puffing his chest in a Jets thread. Loser, comes to mind, for a word.

I'm straight up saying the Coyotes have been a joke, practically since day 1.. We have an excuse here. What's Winnipeg's excuse?

Without personal attacks (I haven't done so to you) why do you think they're having problems attracting players and staff?

Nobody's puffing their chest. You don't have to cheer for a perfect team to criticize some other team: which is lucky, because there are no perfect teams. Saying the Winnipeg Jets are having deep trouble does not make anyone a loser.

Jordan asks a legitimate question. We know why players don't want any part of the Arizona mess. Why do so many of them have the same attitude towards Winnipeg?

I guess I reject the premise of the question. I don't view the Jets as having any more or less difficulty than any other Canadian market retaining or attracting players.

If I was a Winnipegan or whatever they are I'd love it as one loves a home, but I would fully comprehend that it isn't appealing to any one not from there.

I don't think you could pay me to vacation there, let alone work there.

Then you're ignoring some pretty clear evidence.

You're missing out. Winnipeg is a beautiful place to visit in summer.
