I would venture a guess it's standard procedure to not release any pertinent information to the number and type of murder weapons used since it could undermine investigations during the questioning on witnesses or potential suspects.

What I heard mentioned on this topic was that releasing the weapon type could have compromised the investigation into how the shooter obtained the gun and where it came from.

There are a lot of rumors that the shooter was an informant and perhaps had access to weapons. Releasing that info could potentially derail the investigation as to how he would have gotten that access, or even where the weapons came from.

OTTAWA — A pair of Ontario businessmen say they each loaned former Liberal MP Raj Grewal $200,000 before being invited to join a 2018 trip to India with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Brampton tire centre owner Andy Dhugga told an Ottawa court today he has known Grewal's family for a long time, and Grewal asked him for the money in the summer of 2017, saying he needed to pay off a different loan.
A former Liberal political staffer testified earlier that Dhugga and businessman Yusuf Yenilmez, who told court he also loaned Grewal money, were both on a shortlist of five guests Grewal invited to participate in a private meet-and-greet with Trudeau in New Delhi.
The former MP is facing two breach of trust charges, with the Crown alleging he used his political office for personal gain and offered access to the trip in exchange for money that he used to pay off major gambling debts.
Grewal was elected to represent Brampton East for the Liberal party in 2015 and resigned from its caucus three years later when his gambling problem came to public light.

In general, it seems that if you stay in politics long enough you become a bad person. More concerned with staying in power and keeping your job, than doing good for the people you're representing. Doesn't matter the party you're involved with.

The idealistic, young politicians can go into it with the best of intentions but it seems that most fall into the power and don't want to give it and the paycheques up.

I'm sure there are outliers on both sides (people who can stay idealistic and those who never were and just wanted the power/fame/$$$) but they're few and far between.

Part of it is on us (voters) who continue to condone this type of behavior by reelecting these idiots. We need to collectively demand better. That sounds easier than it is however when it seem the alternatives are all equally as bad.

I used to think Len Webber was a bit more moderate, and I'd consider voting for him if leadership was right. But now I see he's endorsed Pierre, so I have to question his ability to evaluate people.
