Celebrated Square Root Day

That's still really low for Edmoton. I was pretty shocked at how empty Tim Hortons field was in Hamilton yesterday. I've watched games there on TV for years and it was always fairly full, albeit in a smaller stadium (just under 25k).
Yesterday the entire upper level was empty on one side, and just a smattering of people in the lower bowl. The Score app didn't update with attendance for some reason I'll see if it's posted somewhere else.

Well, the CFL website has it at 22711. I can't see that being even close to possible when there's a clear 5k empty seats in the entire upper tier on one side, plus a half full upper tier on the other side, and then scattered empty seats everywhere amongst the lower bowl.
I would estimate 12-15k butts in seats.

The best thing this season isn't the Stamps starting 2-0, it's watching Chris Jones and his beat red angry face through 120 mins this season.
He is going to burst!

There was maybe 15k there tops and that's for a Riders game that is good for a 5k boost.

Sports are funny - Stamps started last season 0-2 and you could argue that they could have easily won both of those games. This season, they are 2-0 and you could argue that they easily could be 0-2.

Calgary defensive back Titus Wall, Stampeders kicker Rene Paredes and Saskatchewan running back Jamal Morrow are the CFL's top players for Week 2 of the season.Wall had his first career interception and touchdown in the Stampeders' 33-30 win over visiting Hamilton on Saturday.

I think all CFL teams need to follow BC. The Stamps home opener was atrocious for attendance. I was there and it looked and felt empty. Those upper corner seats should be $10 max. Get people in the stadium, build an atmosphere, get them spending at the concessions. I still don’t understand how a full stadium with cheaper tickets is less productive than a 1/4 full stadium where people have to pay top dollar to get in.

I took a brief look at the Stamps injury report earlier today and Roberson did not participate. Everybody else was either under the status "LIMITED" or "FULL".

As a Rider fan living in Calgary, I’d love to attend more games but the prices are prohibitive. Nothing beats cfl on a nice summer evening, even if it means watching the stamps. But I almost never go to non Rider games because the prices are friggin crazy. Those benches are horrific to sit on and like you said, shouldn’t be more than $10 a ticket.
I’ve been to a few games at new mosaic and I swear to god, prices at McMahon are about the same despite being about 1/10th as nice a stadium. It’s really too bad.
And with baseball and soccer both a million miles away, the cfl has a monopoly on my summer sports money. But I just can’t stomach paying the prices the stamps ask.
Obviously I’m not the target audience but I get the feeling my sentiment is shared by a lot of the more fair weather fans.

Well, if prices keep one obnoxious melon head out of McMahon...maybe just have less pils once at the game
