Insurance runs are badly needed here. Right part of the order to do so. #### the Yanks.

Aaron Hicks is going to be the new Brett Gardner and just destroy our souls for the rest of his career.

Woah! They did it! Suck it Yanks.

That's an emotional win that hopefully the Jays can build on and start another streak.

Hah, I knew reading this afterwards was going to be a rollercoaster. Was on the edge of my seat for those last 3 outs... fun game.

Feel bad for Max Castillo though, first MLB games gets thrown in vs the Yankess and the first 2 hitters go back to back on him.

The meat grinder will continue, however... I mean the White Sox aren't murderers but they're at around .500, which makes them the easiest opponent the Jays will have for the next 14 games.

Oof.

Nice win yesterday.

Would be nice to go on a bit of run again. 10 games above .500 but the Rays and Red Sox are lurking just behind us.

Which is why they needed a run when they were playing the Orioles, Tigers and Royals... going to be pretty tough to get too far ahead when you go from Yankees to ChiSox to Brewers to BoSox to Rays in succession. Just getting out of that stretch with more wins than losses in those games is going to be a feat.

realize no site is perfect, and not sure what I am going to say is good news, bad news or just news, but looking at the current Sagarin breakdown

https://sagarin.usatoday.com/2022-2/...-ratings-2022/

Jays have 2nd hardest schedule (we know this) to date (Orioles have the hardest- make sense)

Jays have played 27 games against 'top 10' teams (they themselves are a top 10 team, so against the other 9) and are 14-13 . Now if my math is correct, they are 10-5 against top 10 teams that aren't the Yankees

the remarkable thing is that the Yankees have played 15 games against top 10 teams, and as best I can tell- 12 of those games are against the Jays ! (they have played 3 against the Red Sox)

so the Jays have played 15 games against non Yankee top 10 teams and the Yankees have played 3 games against non Jays top 10 teams

I still think the Yankees are on a different planet, so I'm not pretending this is going to be the great equalizer, I just didn't realize how wide the difference is (mind you the Rays are just outside the top 10 and feels like Yankees have played them alot)

(adding to the conversation, games against 'top 10' teams (currently.. of course subject to change)
Jays 27
Rays 16
Sox 16
Yankees 15
