I wish it was our tradition, not theirs, to sing 90's music in the 3rd. 90's Gen-X forever, lol

Absolute domination. The series obviously isn’t over but I honestly don’t know how Tampa responds to that whopping

Well. That was pretty comprehensively one-sided.

Total domination and humiliation.
Anyone rooting for Colorado and that hates Tampa this was the perfect game to witness.

Lightning are probably right tf out of gas. Every cup running teams hits a wall. Kings did. Blackhawks did. Maybe now the lightning have.

Can't be good on the mind, body and soul to play as much hockey as they have. Sure the cups are nice but attrition kicks in at some point.

I don’t think I’ve seen a team as good as Colorado in quite some time. And that includes the Lightning teams of the past few years. Just an absolute treat to watch. I hope their fans realize how lucky they are.

Jon Cooper just confirmed that Vasilevskiy will be starting the next game when asked if he considered pulling him in the 2nd period. Said that it's the finals and you start the goalie that gives you the best chance to win and that's Vasilevskiy.

Vasilevskiy was so bad that "Mike Smith" was trending on Twitter.

Just gonna put this here https://forum.calgarypuck.com/showpo...2&postcount=71

The bad part about the Avs being this good is that the Flames probably have no path to the cup final for the foreseeable future, even if they keep the team together and Sutter keeps getting the most out of his players.

The Avalanche have basically the same team as years past and they didn’t go this far. Also they are likely losing Kadri.

Yeah the Avs will have to work some cap magic to stay this deep. Kuemper, Kadri, Nichushkin, Burakovski, Lekhonen all due for new contracts this off-season, MacKinnon, Compher, Byram, Newhook next off-season. They could easily be looking a Toronto-esque cap distribution by the start of 23-24.

Their window is now

Well, frankly, this is what you're supposed to do with it.

Didn't need him tonight, did they?

We just saw the Avs without Kadri.

MacKinnon and Rantanen are just entering their prime and Makar is still reaching his. Landeskog is still very much in his. The Avs are not going away for the foreseeable future and I'll go out on a limb to predict they will have a dynasty. MacKinnon still has another year at $6.3 million which is just insane. The supporting cast is great as well.

I wonder if a 2-0 series lead is the most dangerous lead to have against the Lightning?

That same wall was also hit by the Penguins, Red Wings, and Devils.
