How utterly and pathetically predictable. Show a good run over a short period of time and get a multi-year deal. Watch him prove to be the Mikko Koskinen of coaches on a similar contract.

It's hilarious that Oiler fans look at him as some kind of saviour. He basically just did what every other Oiler coach before him did, which is ride the coattails of the wonder twins by playing them 25+ minutes a night while completely ignoring any kind of structure or defence. Only this time they managed to fluke their way to the 3rd round before turning into a pumpkin as expected.
Good on him for turning a Cinderella season into a 3 year contract though. Head coaching jobs in the NHL are not easy to get.

Exactly, he put McDrai out half the game...team absolutely flukes out and gets Kane and decent goaltending and suddenly this clown is all the rage.
Kane doesn't cross the boarder under covid protocol they likely miss the playoffs and Woddy is back in the AHL.
