Orioles pitcher is all over the place and missing his spots. Ump gives him 2 borderline calls and calls Tapia out on strikes. That was a garbage sequence.

If by borderline calls you mean he called strikes strikes then I can agree. If we had robo umps both those were strikes.

I dunno. I guess it depends what app you’re using for the pitch breakdowns because pitches 1 and 5 were pretty suspect at best. And we don’t have Robo Umps so we still have the nuance of Umps who are consistently terrible these days. It sucks to watch them give the benefit of the doubt to a pitcher missing his spots instead of a batter working the count.

Statcast had the Chapman ball measured at 415’ off the bat. Obviously didn’t go that far or it would’ve been out. Must have some dead balls tonight.
