You don’t want yips, stop posting things you don’t know anything about.

I think that Johnny has not made up his mind. It’s based on completely whether he decides he wants to live closer to home. And none of us know how that will turn out. It’s not going to come down to dollars, he’ll make plenty where ever he goes.

But the constant barrage of it being a done deal all year but there is always some reason which is holding up the announcement is wearing thin.

The likely reason of no announcement is likely no done deal. Like every other player.

He may sign in Calgary, he may not. I have never said with certainty that he wouldn’t sign. Unlike you, who has always said it’s a done deal.

If he had agreed to a deal, that news would start to slip out. Simply too many people would know about it.

I don’t want you off the board. You are a passionate Flames fan, we need all of those we can get.

Stakes have gone up on CP over the years. It seems just like yesterday when “eating a pube sandwich” if you lost a wager was high . Now it’s up to “leaving CP” for good. How times have changed.

Well I take the man at his word, he says he wants to stay and I see no reason why he would be untruthful about it or say it with such passion. If it's a matter of location and not money then is it not a done deal? Just a matter or structure and bonuses. Johnny will get done, I have no doubts personally.

Gaudreau deserves a lot of credit for his durability, but consistency is really important, too.

Kane and Panarin have more EVP (Marner has 1 less than Johnny).

A lot of way to slice and dice this list depending on what you prioritize (add Mark Stone if healthy).

Let’s clarify what we are talking about. The best players currently, correct? Or are we talking about the best players 2,3 or 4 years ago? Why not the best players 10 years ago?

No more moving goalposts.

Hopefully the Flames are giving Gaudreau more respect than the fans in this thread or there’s a 0% chance he’s re-signing.
