I still haven't seen the first one... but this would definitely solidify me not even paying attention to the second one.

The first one was just taxi driver for people with such severe arrested development that they need a comic-based touchstone to fully interpret any story.
So like.. it was so-so.
I’m definitely skipping the sequel, no matter how hard they try to lure me with the words “Lady Gaga” and “musical.”
DC is that guy who tries to hard to be cool. Instead of just trying to make a good movie, they have to have a gimmick. They have GREAT source material to work from yet they keep failing at just about every step. Sure they've made some movies that are decent but other than the Batman trilogy, I can't recall a really good DC movie.
DC makes great animated movies, why doesn't it translate to real life??? I honestly prefer DC tv shows to their movies...its just frustrating because there have been so many great stories to pull from.

For those who have seen Dr. Strange & the Multiverse of Madness, how important is it to watch Spiderman: No Way Home and/or Wandavision before?
Spiderman, not important at all. Wandavision, very important to understand what happened to Wanda. Though if you don't want to sit through the entire series a Youtube synopsis would probably work, the core of her issues still stem from Vision dying in front of her twice in Endame

IMO you're asking the wrong question. If you're interested in Dr. Strange and think you'll enjoy it, I would definitely watch both of those first because you'll like them.

I have actually watched both. But my daughter is suddenly keen on Marvel movies and with Dr. Strange coming to Disney+ next week I was curious if she'd need to watch anything she hasn't seen yet before watching it.

I was waiting for both Spiderman and Dr. Strange to his Disney+. It's really strange that Spiderman is not going to be on Disney+ for a while and after Dr. Strange.

Spiderman is owned by Sony so may end up on a different streaming service depending on what deal they made with Disney.

Last year, Sony signed dual deals with Netflix and Disney. Once a movie is done its theatrical run, it will go to DVD/digital rentals, then to Netflix, then to Disney+.

Joker is basically a remake of King of Comedy. I think that's why DeNiro is in it.

Superman III came out on this day in 1983. While not the greatest movie, I have a special place in my heart for it because it was shot in Calgary. The opening credits scene was filmed downtown and watching now is a great time capsule of what Calgary used to look like.

Sony is making a Madame Web movie. Can't wait to see what new and interesting bad ideas they develop for this. Using stone actor Emma Roberts is a good start.
I did a search and couldn't find a Top Gun Maverick thread, is there not one started yet?
What a great movie. Just topped 1 billion world wide.
