For the good of the NHL, it would be good for the Avs to win, a team that focuses on scoring and speed. Tampa is pretty boring.

Tampa finished 8th overall, one point behind the Flames, and have not had home ice advantage in any round of the playoffs.
They would be the first team since the 2012 Kings to win the Cup without having home ice in any round.

This will be the first really good goalie the Avs have faced.

For once two conference favourites face off.
Actually can be billed a clash of the titans.

MacKinnon could become the first player drafted first overall in the 2010s to win the Cup.

Nah. It’s always the best two teams in the final.

Don't think the lightning have had a series against a team like the Avs in a long while. This one's going to be a slobberknocker. Avs in 7.

Maybe not. Yet the Avs had the far easier road to the final.

Guys, this is a team game. It's totally Axe and Smash of Demolition vs. Hawk and Animal of the Road Warriors.

I'm happy with this match-up. I am pretty over Tampa now. They are still one of my less-liked teams, but I'm pretty 'meh' about them at this point. I'm just glad we don't have to look at Sam Bennett or Adam Fox in the finals this year.
Hoping for the Avs to win. I hate them when the Flames play against them, but I am semi-fond of their franchise in general. Joe Sakic is still the man, MacKinnon and Makar are a treat to watch. I love Landeskog's game and hope we see Kadri back in as well.

This one might come down to goaltending though. Vas is a clutch goalie and I am not sold on Kuemper or Francouz to be better, although both are good goalies.
