If someone told me to wear a mask 8 hours a day nowadays I'd be looking for a new job too.
I wear one for about 6 hours as day and have no desire to find a new job.
It's like being a tradesman on a job site and having to wear protective gear.
It's just part of the gig. sometimes bothersome, but no big deal.

It isn’t “part of the gig” if you sit at a desk in an office all day.

Couldn't find a CERB thread so I will post here.

Has anyone else here received notice to pay back a CERB "advance"? I received two emails over the last year or so and got a letter in the mail today. I've known this was coming as March 2020 my first $2000 CERB payment came and days later a second $2000 arrived. This was due to filing for EI (berfore CERB was in place) then being transitioned to CERB. Months later, maybe June 2020 they said the first $2000 was an "advance" and my benefit would be $1000 for the next two months. I then returned to work before the $1000 payments started. So anyways I've been expecting to repay $2000 for nearly two years now.

I have not been too anxious to repay the money as this is the government we are dealing with... I was hoping the amount would just be deducted from my tax refund and we would be done with it but did not happen. The letter I received in the mail this week said I have a debt of $1000, not $2000 as was previously stated and what I'm prepared to repay.

Has anyone else already dealt with this or been notified of a repayment, or repaid their CERB overpayment?

The numbers were updated yesterday, and hospitalizations dropped pretty significantly in the last week. There are now fewer people in hospital with COVID than there has been since early January. The ICU numbers are lower than any time since early August.

All remaining measures including masking on transit and mandatory isolation if testing positive are being removed at midnight tomorrow in Alberta.

Yeah, I run workshops and had to talk in a loud, lecture tone and wore one for 8 hrs a day for well over a year. Wasn't my favourite thing, but overall it was just fine. If I can do that, people can calmly sit at their desk not talking in a mask. Unless someone legit has major breathing problems, cry me a river...

The last remaining COVID-19 public health restrictions in Alberta are coming to end.

As of 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, the Alberta government will lift the province's remaining COVID-19 restrictions, meaning mandatory masking on public transit will come to an end, as will mandatory isolation.

****Sorry, didn't see Lubicon post the same thing....

Ya it’s like the 52% of the population that hasn’t gotten boosted are all stupid? We know my 2 doses that I got last year isn’t doing anything to stop the spread. Also having COVID twice is a more effective booster anyways (I’m ok with getting a mild cold).
